Evren founded Total Soccer in 2002 with former TCNJ Men's Soccer teammate, Ryan Hayward. The name “Total Soccer” is loosely based on a Dutch philosophy which Evren holds in the highest regard. It pertains to the idea in which any player can take over the role of any other player in the team. The theory requires players to be comfortable in multiple positions, therefore it puts high technical and physical demands on them. It is with this philosophy that Evren and Ryan have laid the foundation of Total Soccer.
Evren was born with soccer running through his blood as a first generation son of Turkish parents, Cengiz and Nuray. Evren attributes almost all of his soccer abilities entirely to the amount of time he spent with the ball in the back yard either by himself or with his father. He went on to play for one of the best club teams in NJ as well as ODP. Evren was recruited to play Division I soccer at West Point. After two seasons there he transferred to The College of New Jersey and concluded as team Captain, and 1st team All-Conference. Evren graduated from TCNJ in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Evren’s final assignment in college was to develop a business plan, the name of the business was Total Soccer.
By family tradition Evren is a supporter of Turkish club, Fenerbahce. His favorite player of all time is Diego Maradonna. His most memorable soccer moment is being at Old Trafford for English rivals, Manchester United and Arsenal FC, for a FA Cup semi-final.
Evren is the head coach of FC Bucks Magic (95/96), FC Bucks Premier (94/95), and New Hope-Solebury High School Boys Varsity. He currently resides in Doylestown, PA with his wife Kristy and dog Drago.

- Shawn Mecchi Staff and Goalkeeper Coach
-
- Born: 10/22/82 in Chattanooga, TN
- Hometown: Pittsgrove, NJ
Shawn began working for Total Soccer in 2004 after an invitation from co-founders Ryan Hayward and Evren Asral. At the time, Shawn was playing for The College of New Jersey, under Ryan's instruction, and had recently played two years with Evren as teammates at TCNJ. Though Shawn had been working with young teams and individual players before this experience, it was during these first years with Total Soccer that Shawn came to realize that coaching would always be an important part of his life. He then continued to coach with Total Soccer while serving as assistant coach with the 2005 DIII national runner-up TCNJ women's soccer team.
Shawn continued to work with Total Soccer beyond graduation until leaving in the Fall of 2006 to continue his collegiate coaching career with the men's and women's teams at the University of Indianapolis. After a successful season for both squads and a conference championship and NCAA tournament run with the women's team, Shawn followed women's head coach Drew Roff to a new position and new challenges at Illinois State University. As first assistant to the Division-I ISU Redbirds, Shawn helped lead the team to a Missouri Valley Conference championship in 2007. It was a season to remember, and the culmination of a deeply satisfying collegiate coaching experience, but Shawn determined at the completion of the 2007 year that he would leave Illinois and return to the Philadelphia area in order to pursue new passions and rekindle others, such as his passion for coaching and mentoring younger players. For Shawn, a return to the region meant a return to Total Soccer. The academy systems established while he was away gave Shawn the perfect environment for consistently working with talented and motivated young goalkeepers on a weekly basis.
Shawn now resides in Philadelphia, where he is pursuing careers in voice acting and sports commentary. He is a staff coach for the FC Pennsylvania Strikers girls soccer club and a volunteer reader at Recording For the Blind & Dyslexic.
